The team spent the last few days in the mix of the city rush while they settled their final arrangements before their flight out to Lukla this morning...

all the while trying to recover from their jet lag...

During the Kathmandu visit, the Vertical Nepal team had the chance to sit down with Miss Hawley (Elizabeth Hawley), a former US journalist and keeper of all things Himalayas. Here the team and Miss Hawley shared information regarding their routes and objectives for this trip.

The Vertical Nepal team has made it out of the chaos of the city and landed safely into Lukla. Soon after the initial descent upon Lukla, the team collected their bags and immediately began the trek into the mountainous regions of Nepal. Here is the latest audio update received from Dupre just moments ago at their current village:
